Playing off the oxidation process of the (imitation) gold leaf, the light green pigment used matches the naturally occuring patina of the gold leaf. These color choices influenced many of the pieces in the Polaroid series.
The Polaroid series is about lack of control and what happens outside the white frame of a Polaroid image. Many of the works are based on real incidents that happened in my life and some are completely made up events.
